Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide of glucuronic acid and N-acetilglucosilamina. Hyaluronic acid is the most hygroscopic molecule in nature (1 gram can capture 6 liters of water) and it has different properties depending on their molecular weight.
The Hyaluronic acid of average molecular weight is used in the formulation and it has bacteriostatic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-edema properties. It also acts as an adjunct in wound healing.
